evaluate it? |
Lesson
How do we evaluate technology? The same way we evaluate
anything
by applying our values. When we look at the costs and benefits
of a technology, our values tell us whether that technology is good or
bad. By learning about other peoples values, we reflect on our own so
that we can understand how we evaluate technology. Our book
illustrates some ways we evaluate:
survival,
ritual,
power,
authority,
economic, and
ecologic.
